Contributions and Sponsorship Opportunities

Since 1979, Imago Theatre has offered theatre and artforms that inspire the heart and stimulate the mind. Your gifts make our work possible, and we are deeply appreciative for the support of so many of our patrons.

Many ways exist to support our work. Sponsoring shows, underwriting outreach to young people, contributing to building needs, or making unrestricted contributions which help us bring new and creative works to the community each year, are all important ways you can contribute to Imago.

Sponsoring Imago Shows:

Sponsorship opportunities for Imago's productions are available to corporations, foundations and individual patrons. Sponsorships represent a tremendous opportunity to gain recognition in the media through Imago advertising and publications, and become aligned with one of Portland's most innovative theatre groups. Sponsorships also provide important funding for Imago to continue its work and provide outreach to a wide range of audiences and theatrical tastes.

Presenting Sponsor: $5,000 Benefits: Mention in TV, radio and print ads, and flyers. Mention on front of program. Stage mention. Recognition at theatre. Inclusion in news releases. Discounted tickets for customers. Recognition at receptions/

Contributing Sponsor: $2,500 Benefits: Mention on flyers. Mention inside program. Recognition at theatre. Stage mention. Invitations to reception.

Sponsor: $1,000 Benefits: Mention on posters and brochures. Mention inside program. Invitation to receptions.

Underwriting Educational Outreach to Young People:

Underwriting school shows, workshops and residencies are a meaningful way to help youth build interest in the arts. Especially for underserved and at-risk youth, the arts can be life-affirming and provide hope for their future. Grants of $1,000 - $5,000 are used to purchase tickets for young people to access Imago shows and cover the costs to underwrite Imago performers, materials and supplies.

Making Contributions to Imago's Building Fund:

Imago's theatre facility, built in 1922, is becoming a victim of the ravages of time. Contributions are welcome to help replace the HVAC system, upgrade the electrical system, upgrade the seating and balcony, and renovating the lobby, among other projects.

Supporting the Development of Imago's Work:

Creative development, marketing and stipends for actors are costs that are essential to bringing you the highest quality Imago productions. Unrestricted gifts are used to keep the company's shows vital and exciting.
